Calvià Chess Festival
The XX Calvià Chess Festival is scheduled to take place from October 6th to October 15th, 2023, in Palmanova. The event will be held at Sala Palmanova, situated at C/Diego Salvà Lezaunún, nº2.
The festival will feature various exciting tournaments and activities:
- The XX International Amateur Open will be held from October 7th to October 15th.
- On October 12th, the Blitz Chessbase Tournament will take place.
- Simultaneous games will be conducted on the Paseo Marítimo de Palmanova on October 14th at 10:30.
- The Festival will conclude with the Closing ceremony on October 15th at 15:00.
The tournaments will follow the Swiss system of play, with one round per day. All games will commence at 20:00, except for the 8th round on October 14th, which will begin at 15:30. The final round on October 15th will start at 10:00. The closing and prize-giving ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 15th, at 15:00.
To conveniently travel from the airport to Palmanova and Magaluf, you can utilize the Aerotib line A11, which provides direct transport.
